Dräger Flame 2300

The Dräger Flame 2300 is an explosion-proof combined UltraViolet/InfraRed flame detector, which detects fires of substances that emit infrared and ultraviolet radiation such as hydrocarbon fuels. The Flame 2300 offers reliable and fast detection of flames with high immunity to false alarms.

Product Information

  • Easy to install
    • With its corrosion resistant stainless steel bracket, the flame 2300 is very simple to install. The mounting bracket can be rotated ensuring optimal positioning relative to potential fire sources. Angular markings on the bracket enable recording of detector positioning for future reference.
  • Integral self-test
    • The flame 2300 has an in built automatic self test; this ensures any faults in the electronics and the optics of the device do not go undetected. For additional peace of mind, the test can be triggered manually at any time.
  • Highly visible LED status indication
    • A highly visible three coloured LED is positioned at the front of the Flame 2300. This enables quick status indication in the field without the need to visit the control panel. Green indicates normal operation, yellow indicates fault, and red indicates the presence of flame.
  • Range of outputs
    • As standard the Flame 2300 includes 4 to 20 mA output, together with 3 built in relays. An optional RS 485 output enables multi-dropping of detectors.
  • Electrically isolated 4-20 mA output as standard
    • Complete flexibility enables the device to be operated from a separate or field mounted power supply (as a 4-wire device) or as 3-wire device if isolated output is required.
  • Worldwide approval
    • With FM, CSA, IECEx and ATEX approval, the Flame 2300 is accepted world wide. This acceptance is enhanced with a range of metric and imperial threads.
